This is due to the firmware on the wifi shield not supporting the webserver.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">A latest firmware upgrade should make this work. But upgrading the firmware is quite a process for a begineer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Let me show you a simple and step by step to upgrade the firmware.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>1.<\/strong> If the module is connected to arduino Uno (in this case) , unplug it from computer and sperate the shield from arduino Uno.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>2.<\/strong> Now on the shield there is a jumper at J3. Initially it is just connected to one pin. Now connect the two pins together using the jumper as on the image below.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.arduino.cc\/en\/uploads\/Main\/WiFiAdditionalPorts_2.jpg?resize=423%2C332\" alt=\"\" width=\"423\" height=\"332\" \/><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.arduino.cc\/en\/uploads\/Main\/ArduinoWiFiShield_Front_450px.jpg?resize=449%2C321\" alt=\"\" width=\"449\" height=\"321\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>3.<\/strong> Now download Flip package from Atmel website and install as normal. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.atmel.com\/tools\/FLIP.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/www.atmel.com\/tools\/FLIP.aspx<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>4.<\/strong> Download these attached files. <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/0Bzf20T3I7dfpZW1CbHBDY2oxRjA\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wifi_dnld.elf<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/0Bzf20T3I7dfpZFVRc2ptOWgzZzQ\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WifiHD.elf<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>5.<\/strong> Save these two files in c:\\<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>6.<\/strong> Now connect the wifi shield to computer USB.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>7.<\/strong> Open command prompt in windows. (press windows key and R, then type cmd in the box and press enter)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>8.<\/strong> Point to Flip installation folder.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>\u00a0 i.e<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 <code>cd C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Atmel\\Flip 3.4.7\\bin<\/code><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>9.<\/strong> Execute the command as below<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><code>batchisp.exe -device AT32UC3A1256 -hardware usb -operation erase f memory flash blankcheck loadbuffer c:\\wifi_dnld.elf program verify start reset 0<\/code><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>10.<\/strong> Once the command in (9) executed successfully execute the following.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><code>batchisp.exe -device AT32UC3A1256 -hardware usb -operation erase f memory flash blankcheck loadbuffer c:\\wifiHD.elf program verify start reset 0<\/code><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>11.<\/strong> Once everything is okay. Remove the jumper and USB.
